Dinner at Gran Dragon (Rome)

Chinese Dinner at Gran Dragon

It was raining in the late afternoon of Rome. Am thankful we have time to explore the shops and churches. I managed to step in for Sunday mass in one of the churches by chance and had holy communion. Thank you Lord :)

Dinner time it is. If one is travelling to Italy, try to explore all the Italian food. One can give chinese food a miss. Yet if you are going on package tours, we don't have a choice on food selection.

Yet Gran Dragon has to be the best among the 3 chinese restaurants we had. The chef seems to be from Hong Kong. Hmm, I have a friend by the first name, I wonder whether he knows the place is named after him :)

Have a cup of tea

Dumpling soup on a cold day

Pipping hot soup, each of us had an average of 2-3 dumplings for our bowl of soup.Delicious.

Duck

We were debating whether this dish was duck or chicken. In the end after tasting, we concluded it was duck. Tender and nice.

Prawns with vegetables

Fish - fresh and meaty

Chicken and Vegetables

Green Green Vegetables

We realised that this restaurant serves lots of vegetables. ( Do they have a vegetable garden somewhere?)After eating the meaty / Italian food for the past few days, this dish was a refeshing change. My favourite dish for this dinner.
Great presentation - juicy oranges

It was an enjoyable evening. It was also our 2nd last day in Rome. Headed for Sistine Chapel before catching our flight back the next day.

Tea anyone?
