Earl Swensens

On 15 January, we hosted Leonard and Martha for lunch at Earle Swensens. That was my 1st Yusheng for the 2019. Chatting and catching up with dad's friends and seeing mum in good spirit was something comforting to me.

TCC

 This is my 2nd birthday celebration and in a way very special, cos I get to spend time with my mother. After 1.5 months with difficulty in walking due to pain in the back, she managed to step out of the house to have lunch with me. For past month, I was buying food for her at our hawker centres/ coffeeshop. I really cherish these precious moments with her. There are days when she experiences the pain hence she has to rest. Physio sessions at the hospitals are ongoing.

Ikoi

 Here I am having the first of my birthday celebrations with my friends from school days. We went to Ikoi a Japanese restaurant for Japanese buffet. Service can be a bit slow, so know what you want to order so that the food can be served all at once. 
 Thankful for the years of friendship - and the yearly birthday celebrations 


 Located in the lobby of hotel Miramar, Ikoi serves a good spread of dishes comprising of sashimi, sushi, handrolls, grilled dishes, noodles and fried dishes.

Bistro Du Vin

 After watching the movie Aquaman in Lido, it was past 9pm when the show ended. By then most of the places were closed for dinner servings. We tried our luck with Bistro Du Vin and were very thankful that the restaurant was still accepting diners. Always love this place - warm and cosy. Great attentive service. 

 Traditional braised beef cheek “Grand Mère”, bacon & mash potatoes - melts in your mouth
 Roasted half French yellow spring chicken, roasting jus, mash & French beans
 Soufflé, with vanilla ice cream - simply delicious
We enjoyed our dinner and we will definitely be back at Bistro Du Vin.
