Seoul Yummy

Eunice & Pat having Korean Dinner

It was my final session of DAff class on 15 October 2011. After class, heading for novena, texted Eunice to see whether she was free for dinner. Received her reply that she could make it after my novena session.

Located at Square 2 at Novena #03-68
We chanced upon this place and I must say I enjoyed my 2nd Korean food experience.

Menu

Ginseng Chicken Soup ($13.99) brown rice

We selected the place partly because of the Ginseng Chicken Soup and the half price promotion. Well, the soup was very diluted. Bit disappointing. The best ginseng chicken soup that I have tasted so far is nus engineering canteen.

Can't beat the NUS Engineering Korean Ginseng Chicken. That is the best so far that I have tasted.

Pat loves brown rice. Korean Side Dishes. Not bad.

California Pizza Kitchen

Care for some pizza?

California Pizza Kitchen, located at Forum The Shopping Mall, 583 Orchard Road, #01-42, is a place to try for Italian food. It has a great mix of different types of pizza which includes Peking Duck Pizza, Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage Pizza and Chipotle Chicken Pizza.

All set for an Italian Feast

I met Siu Kim on Monday for early dinner on 24 October 2011. She mentioned that Citibank card had this special promotion if we ordred between 5.30-7pm, we had a 30% discount.

Ice Peach Tea for Siu Kim

Waldorf Salad

We love this dish. Thankfully we did not order a pasta dish. The salad complimented our pizza dish.

Our Waldorf salad comprised of fresh apples, celery, walnuts, chicken meat and walnuts and is served on a bed of lettuce. Something light and healthy.

Hawaiian BBQ chicken ( $21.90)

This pizza was fantastic. It comprised of fresh pineapple, BBQ chicken, smoked gouda , mozzarella cheese, barbeque sauce, red onion and fresh cilantro.

It was an enjoyable dinner and we chatted about our travel trips. Thanks Siu Kim for dinner treat. Stay in touch.

Austria - Schonbrunn Palace

Schonbrunn Palace is a former imperial 1,400-room Rocco summer residence in Vienna, Austria. One of the most important cultural monuments in the country, since the 1960s it has been one of the major tourist attractions in Vienna. The palace and gardens illustrate the tastes, interests, and aspirations of successive Habsburg monarchs.

I must say I love Europe. The beauty of the different countries, the culture and the food, indeed I am thankful for my travel experiences. I visited Eastern Europe in 2008 and the places hold fond memories for me.

On arrival, our first stop was to visit Schonbrunn Palace. Our tour of the state apartments unveils part of the 1400 different rooms such as the Million, Chinese and the Music Room where young Mozart conducted his first public performance.

Crystal Jade Dining In

This was my first time dining at Crystal Jade Dining In. I must say I love the Tim Sum there. Situated at Vivocity #01-112, Leonard and I caught up for Tim Sum lunch on 23rd October 2011. The last time we met was where the Turkey kakis had Tim Sum lunch at Yan Palace. He showed me his China pictures. Great shots, some were picture postcard shots. We both agreed our Turkey pictures were still the best among the travel shots.

Menu

Century Egg with Meat Congee ( $7.00)

The congee was ordinary. For this dish, I love the one that is served at Taka. My all time favourite whenever I dine there.

Deep Fried Prawn Roll and Mango ($4.50)

Coated with a layer of Sesame, this dish is really delicious when the mango just melts in the mouth with the prawn roll.

Baked Mini Egg Tart ($3.30)

My favourite dish. The skin is moist and the egg tarts were simply delicious. I could have ordered 2nd round of this dish. One of the better egg tarts that I have tasted for Tim Sum. Thumbs up :)

Shrimp Dumpling ($4.80)

Siew Mai ($4.40)

Had an enjoyable tim sum lunch. I will definitely be back for more visits.
