It was a great Friday evening catch up with Joan and Jenny in July. We had Vietnamese food followed by round 2 of dessert at Matchaya located at Taka.

Dian Xiao Er has an Early Bird Promo for lunch where you can enjoy 25% discount including set meals from 1130-1230pm from Monday to Thursday. Had lunch with mum in month of July. We had the set lunch for 2 pax comprising of four dishes with rice.

Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave is nestled in the heart of a region of outstanding beauty – above and below ground. It is situated only 15-minutes south of Margaret River. The journey begins on an elevated boardwalk that leads you towards the entrance of the cave, where you are immediately immersed into the depths of the enormous first chamber.

After lunch, we went for a guided tour through this gothic cave with vast chambers that reveal fascinating information on the region’s flora and fauna. 

As the boardwalks and staircases lead you through the enormity of the cave, you find yourself dwarfed, standing at the centre of a huge natural formation. It was really an eye-opening experience for us.

If you are doing free and easy trip, you can spend the day exploring the cave. 

We had around 1.5hour to explore by walking along the boardwalks and platforms, through the majestic chambers of the cave.

 

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co

After our wine tasting at Burton Creek, we just ventured around the venue, soaking in the sights of the place. Next to it was Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co.

We celebrated KC belated birthday dinner on 7 July 2023 at Summer Hill located at Claymore Connect. A cosy dinner with great food and good friends.

This was an add on order which we thought the food ordered was not enough. But we were mistaken, we were so full after just taking 2 pieces each of the pork chop.

Pear & Frangipane Tart

 Overall the food was delicious. However I find the prices bit expensive. Personally, unless there is a card promotion, I doubt I will come back.

If you are craving for Thai food, we chanced upon a Thai place at Orchard Central in July 2023. Prices are reasonable with no GST.
