Kopi Tiam & Coffee Club

Laura & Pat with our meal at Kopi Tiam
Food is one way of keeping in touch with friends. I am thankful for the many good friends that have been my pillar of support all these years. Laura is my good friend from secondary school days. The two of us, love to explore food and this was clearly seen when we were working together at our temp job at OCBC securities when we were younger. I am so glad to meet up with Laura whom I haven't seen for over a year.

Located at Swisshotel, the Stamford, we met at Kopi Tiam on 18 March 2011 for a meal. A Singapore Restaurant that serves local spread. Nice ambience and good service from the staff.

My good friend Laura

Laura's set of hainese chicken rice @$17.50

Tender sliced chicken, a neat and presentable dish. Chicken rice with the soup along with the 3 sauces - chilli, black sauce and ginger which always make this dish a hot favourite with the locals and tourists.

A delighted Pat with her noodles dish

Shang Mien @ $16
This has to be one of the best Shang Mien dish that I have tasted. Definitely worth ordering if you are at the restaurant. Wok fried crispy egg noodle with prawns, fish slices & squid in oyster grey.
The noodles were so cripsy that one could hear the crisp as I eat. Very generous with the prawns serving. The oyster gravy added to the flavour to the dish.
Thanks to UOB cards, we had a 20% discount to the final bill.

Then we headed to coffee club at Raffles City for dessert.

Vanilla Milk Shake, Passion Tea and Passion Fruit & Chocolate

Pat always have room for the Sweet stuff

Passion Fruit & Chocolate
Laura selected the cake. Really delicious. Moist yet one could feel the richness of the chocolate mixed with passion fruit. This cake is priced at $6.

It was an enjoyable Friday, catching up with Laura. Great company and good food. Look forward to next food session.
