On 12 March 2011, we invaded Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, trying the known delicacies in the eastern side of Singapore. While waiting for Jo, we ordered our drinks first. It was an early dinner at 6pm
Pat in pink with her sugar cane drink
Cara with her sour plum drink
Linda, her lovely blue top with her drink
Thirst Quenches - Sugarcane Juice/ Sour plum juice with a pince of lime

When Jo arrived, we went to order the food. I ordered the satay. Priced at 50cents per stick, it has to be my favourite dish. The uncle was nice to give me an additional bowl of gravey.
Jo ordered for us the grilled sambal Fish. Not bad, the sambal added to the flavour of the fish. Next time would like to try stingray.
This dish was so so. There was the Toa Payoh Rojak, but we heard it was a long queue. Hence we settled for this plate of rojak.
Early Dinner
Mushrooms & Vegetable oyster sauce
Claypot chicken Rice
Cara and Linda ordered the claypot rice and vegetable for us. The claypot rice was not bad, the chicken was a bit tough. Not a fan of chicken rice.
We wanted to try other dishes like prawn noodles, wanton noodles and even the carrot rice. But when we heard there was the cakes - awfully chocolate at Katong, we decided the cakes come first. Hence we took a bus to Katong
Hmm..whoever is taking me out for a date, can consider this place :)
The 3 of us had this drink. Refreshing and the honey gave the sweetness to the cold ocha. This was priced at $3.20. Worth ordering.
Staying away from coffee and tea, Jo ordered the hot butterscoth Milk. Priced at $6.90, the drink was very sweet but nice. One could taste the butterscoth.
The 2 cakes have to be the highlight of the evening. I love both the cakes, yes sinful but delicious. Lucky it is being shared by the 4 of us. The choc cake is moist and one could feel the richness of the chocolate. The fragrance of the pear could be tasted. The ice cream blended well with the cakes.
