Min Jiang

On 24 April, after my full day sunday work, we headed down to Min Jiang located at Goodwood Park for dinner, enjoying HSCB wow deals of $50 off with min $100 spent. The food was delicious and the service was good. 

Barbecued Combination comprising Barbecued Ibérico Pork, Crispy Roasted Pork Belly and Roasted Silver Hill Irish Duck - the meat combination is simply addictive and one of the better bbq combinations we have tasted.

Wok-fried Beef Cubes with Asparagus in Black Pepper Sauce - the portion of beef cubes is generous and very tender.

Poached Rice with Abalone and Seafood in Superior Broth - this is the highlight for me. The broth is thick and filled with seafood flavor - definitely a must try. 

Stewed Wanton Noodles with Argentinian Red Prawns - the wanton is the highlight for this dish.

Both dishes are a portion for 1 person - we shared to get a taste of what each dish was - very well done. Thumbs up.

Ending a sumptuous with desserts - Chilled Cream of Avocado with Coffee Ice Cream served in Young Coconut - a very unique dessert - the coffee ice cream complemented the chilled cream avocado.

Durian Kueh Salat - unique like a nian gao version 

A lovely night to end the hectic week. Thank you HSBC for the wow-deal and Min Jiang for the delicious spread of food. 

 

Hong Kong Dim Sum Shop

We chanced upon this dim sum place after our course on 1 April. We just wanted a place to rest and eat before heading home. Dim sum not too bad.

Sanook Kitchen

It is always nice to have Thai food, brings back BKK memories. Here we are at Sanook Kitchen located at Ion. It used to be a chinese restaurant which we have visited. We had the Thai food promotion for four dishes for two of us. Service was bad though, it was a long wait for our food. Then the ultimate for me was I was still having my ice milk tea when the waiter wanted to clear the drink. He had already served us 2 wrong dishes. I gave my feedback and our service charge was waived. The food was ok.
