Meatworks/ Canele

Peichin & Pat
On 17 February, a Friday night, I met Peichin for dinner. As both of us love to explore new food places, we chanced upon Meatworks located at Ion Orchard #04-12.
Cod Fish ( $30)
Peichin had the cod fish. Big portion for both the mash potato and the cod fish. Tender was the cod and it certainly blended well with the mash potato.
Lovely presentation
Since we were at Meatworks, I had to try the meat, in this case, the beef burger. The beef was juicy and I love the fries. It was only when we paid for the bill, did we realise the restaurant was having a 50% on the 2nd dish. My dish was priced at $18, had the discounted bill of $9.

Two Chefs Eating Place

Located at 116 Commonwealth Crescent #01-129, this was the first time I visited Two Chefs Eating Place. This cze char place is tugged in commonwealth. The food is simple and gives a homely feeling. It's no wonder the place was crowded later in the night. I met up with Joanna, Ann ( whom we haven't met for over a year) and their former colleague Kazay.
Drinks for Jo & Pat
Pork Ribs ( seems like icing flavor being sprinkled on the ribs) - this dish was average
Our vegetable Dish - Sambal Kang Kong. This sambal chili can be spicy.
You Tiao -Delicious (Thumbs Up)
Golden Mushroom Beancurd - Tasty and delicious ( Thumbs up)
Coffee Pork Ribs.
Each of us paid around $10 each for 4 of us. Reasonable prices for tasty food
Dessert Time
I had a warm bowl of Cheng Teng - one of the better desserts that I have tasted

The King Louis Grill & Bar

Pat & Menghui
I have seen much publicity of this restaurant through the banner ads at Vivocity. However it was months later to be precise only on 7 March 2012, did I finally visited the restaurant. The King Louis Grill & Bar located on #03-07A. That was the place I met MengHui for dinner. One has this feeling of being transported back to the medieval times.
It is indeed a nice cosy place to catch up with friends. There was a promotion whereby from Monday to Thursday, order 2main courses and one will have the 3rd course free. There is also a life band for entertainment of music.
Menghui's Roasted beef ( $21.50)
Lovely presentation -the beef is slightly tough
Pat's half slab of ribs ($18.90)
This dish is delicious. One of the better ribs dish that I have tasted. Thumbs Up :)
Our complimentary garlic mussels ( 6 pieces - priced at $14.90)
The sauce was tasty and it blended well with the mussels. Both of us had the mussels and left the the corn and potato untouched as we were very full.

It was great company and enjoyable dinner. Definitely a place to chill out.
