Turkish Food from Ankara

Breakfast at Bolu Koru Hotel on 22 November consisted of cereals, dried fruits, ham and bread. In Turkey, having a bowl of cereals was always a delight for breakfast. This is a suprise for someone who usually does not have cereals when she is travelling. I love scrambled egg, ham and cakes. However in Turkey, not much opportunity of egg delight though.

Dried Fruits

Ham & Cheese

Pat's breakfast

A combination of savoury and sweet

Turkish Coffee
After breakfast we headed to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. On one of our stops, we tried Turkish coffee. Priced at 5 lyra ($5), this cup of coffee certainly tasted very bitter. As I seldom drink coffee, I was fine with the taste.

Lunch time - Gar Restaurant

Soup with Mint taste

Brown rice - can you count the grains?

Chicken
Can you image this dish of chicken can be eaten by the four girls. Yes, we must be really hungry, not so tasteful though. This dish has to be eaten with the gravy, else the meat will feel dry and tough.

Our lunch

Apples for dessert - healthy yet not too sweet

Pat & Cheryl

After lunch we headed to Ataturk Mausolem where houses, art galleries and fine restaurants were located around there. We also visited Anatolian Civilisation Museum that day.

Salad bar
We headed to Cappadocia where we spent 2 nights at Burcu Kaya Hotel.

The spread of sweet desserts

Pat's dish for 1st round for dinner

Dinner - 2nd round

3rd round - 2 desserts - cos it's just too sweet
