TSS Earnslaw Cruise

The TSS Earnslaw is a 1912 Edwardian vintage twin screw steamer plying the waters of Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand. It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in Central Otago, and the only remaining commercial passenger-carrying coal-fired steamship in the southern hemisphere.
The ship works fourteen hour days in the summer months and cruises for eleven months of the year, despite being over 99 years old. Visitors to the region can undertake a 1.5 hour cruise on board.

As of 2012, the Earnslaw is still in routine operation carrying tourist passengers across Lake Wakatipu from Queenstown to Walter Peak High Country Farm, a tourism operation with farm tours, horse treks, heritage tours, barbecue lunches and evening dining at the historic Colonel's Homestead.

TCC@ Novena Square

After 11am novena service on 24th November 2012, mum and I headed to TCC@Novena Square. As usual her food "expert" daughter recommended her dishes to try. It was a Salmon Affair for both of us.
 Mentaiko Spaghetti with Salmon ($21.20)
 Salmon with Citrus Wine Sauce
Well done Salmon with a neat presentation. Mum enjoyed this dish. Such a delight spending time with mum.
Early Lunch on a Saturday Afternoon
Cappuccino Cheesecake ( $8)
Thumbs up for this cake - mix it chocolate ice-cream. A perfect ending to a delectable lunch.

Island Cafe

After work, it is always a delight catching up with friends for dinner. I met Siu Kim at Island cafe located at level 4 of Tangs Orchard for dinner on 29th November 2012. When I saw the menu, i was smiling and the spread of Asian food caught my attention.
 Asian Platter ($14)
Comprising of a mixture of satay, chicken wings, spring rolls and fried wanton. Thumbs up for this combination. It offers light bites with a variety.
 Dinner time
 Tauhu Telor ($10)
Craving for Indonesian food and Tauhu Telor, no guesses I had this dish for dinner. Very Delighted Pat :)

Siu Kim's plate of Penang Char Kuay Teow ( $15)

A Walk in Queenstown

After breakfast, Angie and I decided to take a walk and explore the place. It was a steep downhill walk before we reached the lake. Such amazing beauty greeted us. If not for the long hours of coaching, NZ is actually a place of scenic nature.
