Carmelite Church Mdina (Malta)

The Carmelite Church and Priory is located in the heart of Mdina. It was the first church to be built in Malta to an elliptical plan.

There is a spectacular painting of The Annunciation by Stefano Erardi (1677) above the main altar, accompanied by other paintings by the famous local artist Giuseppe Cali.

The church was built between 1660 and 1675 in the style of Baroque architecture.

Happy Bday Grandma

I am thankful to be able to spend time with my family. I bought a cake from awfully chocolate and the staff specially decorated for me for my grandma for her 91st birthday.

St Paul's Cathedral Mdina ( Malta)

St. Paul's Cathedral, a 17th century masterpiece, is an architectural gem in the centre of the medieval city of Mdina.

The cathedral was founded in the 12th century, and according to tradition it stands on the site of where Roman governor Publius met St. Paul following his shipwreck on Malta.

St. Paul's Cathedral is built in the Baroque style, with some influences from native Maltese architecture. The cathedral has a Latin cross plan consisting of a vaulted nave, two aisles and two side chapels.

The marble pavement includes tombstones that depict the emblems of the Mdina bishops as well as other members of the clergy.
