Gordon Grill

Gordon Grill holds many special memories for me - a place where I have had meals for our wedding anniversaries, birthdays and Christmas dinners. On 20 August 2023, the eve of mum's birthday, we celebrated mum's birthday at Gordon Grill located at Goodwood Park. 

Welcome drink

Hokkaido Scallops with mushroom duxelles, asparagus, parma ham and lemon butter sauce

Chilled Seaweed Pasta with king crab, sakura ebi, caviar and white truffle vinaigrette

We ordered two appetizers to share. Mum and I had the duo of beef. Anthony and his mum had the Australian Prime Lamb Chop.

Lamp Chop with lentil ragu, peas and rosemary sauce

Grilled Black Angus fillet and braised Wagyu beef cheek with mashed potato, garden vegetables and red wine sauce

Lingonberries Crumble Tart with vanilla ice cream 

(must try) - Crêpe Suzette - flambéed tableside with Cointreau & brandy, served with vanilla bean ice cream

It was an enjoyable family dinner at Gordon Grill. Good service and delicious food. 

Legendary Hong Kong

On 4 July, I met up with Anqi and her son Timothy at Star Vista. We took a chance to visit Legendary Hong Kong without any reservations. We were told that we have an hour for lunch without reservations. We were ok with the arrangement.

Dolc Patisserie

Located at 67 Kampong Bahru Road, we visited Dolc Patisserie for a quick brunch before I headed off to attend to some matters on Saturday afternoon.

Jeju Swiss Village

Here we are at Jeju Swiss Village in March 2023. Swiss Village is inspired by painter Paul Klee's oil painting "Country House", using color meanings popular in Switzerland and Jeju Island.

When we were there at Swiss Village, it was just very quaint and quiet - perfect location for movie filming or even wedding photography.

The colours make the place very attractive and one can take many photos here. However the silence of the place can be too quiet. Well, we only had like 30 minutes to view the place. 

The sky was turning dark and indeed it rained in the afternoon.
