Food Tour Phuket (Part 1)

During my recent trip to Phuket, we signed up for a food tour and we were treated a series of local delights. Pema was an excellent guide and she fed us well. Thanks Pema.

 Here we are at City Hot Pot located at Raffles place for Shabu Shabu - our yearly CNY gathering. Thanks Joan for the birthday gift. 

 We have a choice to select 2 soups - I had the vegetable soup and herbal chicken soup

Jungceylon Shopping Mall (Phuket)

  Our first stop at Phuket was to Jungceylon Shopping mall in Patong after checking in our hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Jim Thompson store there with reasonable priced items. (Do check out the place if you are there). We also visited NaRaYa store. The two main stores in the complex are Robinson - a gleaming well-lit upper end department store, and Big C supermarket.

There are  over 200  stores in this shopping heaven sell brand-name clothes, spectacles, sunglasses, cosmetics and perfumes, shoes, DVDs, computer games, tons of mobile phones and accessories, electrical goods.

For entertainment there is a five-room SF Cinema and a 16-lane bowling alley, which is perfect for rainy days or to escape the heat of the day.

It is always lovely to catch up with friends and ex-colleagues. Here I am with Siok Hui and Cathy, whom I haven't met for over a year. We chanced upon Ju Hao at Novena Square 2 and had our dinner there in January.

 It was indeed relaxing at Amanpuri located at Phuket. The beach is exclusive to Aman guests. Taking the stroll and enjoying the sunset on my birthday in January has been an experience to remember in my heart. Perhaps it is really time to slow down this year to smell the roses. Finances is always on my mind. There are always bills to pay. Well, one can only pray, work hard and play hard.
