Malaysian Food Street

I heard so much on the Malaysian Hawker fare at Resort World that on 20 April 2012, we finally had the opportunity to explore the food. Indeed I was surprised to find an air-conditioned location. We were transported to the nostalgic town while indulging in the authentic hawker rare. The delicious selection included KL Claypot Rice, Penang Hokkein Mee, Nasi Lemak and many others.

Chee Cheong Fun with Beancurd skin

This dish was average. Perhaps one can give the tim sum stall  a miss. We should have caught the sign. There was no queue at the stall. The longer the queue, the more popular is the food.
Water chestnut and Lime drinks - refreshing
 Rice Balls with Chicken
Kendrick was eyeing the riceballs ( $1.50 for 5 pieces). With the chicken the set cost $4.

This is one of Malacca's signature dishes, the fragrant bite-sized chicken rice balls, a must have with the juicy tender steam chicken.

Penang Ah Long Lor Bak ( $8)

This has to be my favourite dish of the day. I chanced the dinners from the next table having this dish. Hence requested Kendrick to buy the set. When we bought the set, a lady approached us, asking us where we bought this dish. First impression counts. We tasted the crisp goodness of deep fried Lor Bak - with century egg, cuttle fish, ngoh hiang, sausages, and fried tofu.

 Penang Char Koay Teow
This was delicious - done the Penang style.
