Japanese High Tea Set at Lobby Bar (Sheraton)

 Michele
It was the 1-1 promotion by UOB card for afternoon tea at Sheraton that caught my attention. Hence on 16 April 2012, I arranged to meet Michele for tea at Sheraton Towers. For the record, this is my first high tea set on a weekday afternoon.

There were 2 sets of High Tea - The English Afternoon ( $33++ per pax) and the Japanese High Tea ( $39++ per pax)

Pat all set to enjoy the hi-tea
Indeed it was an afternoon with both of us tugged  in a cosy corner. We pampered ourselves to a truly decadent afternoon tea time. It was great chatting and catching up with each other.
With all the sets, one gets 1 serving of either coffee or tea of our choice. Both of us chose tea which come in pots. Perfect setting - indulging in tea with the food. Service was slow, we had to call for the attention of the staff to clear our plates or to top up our tea/ water.
Indeed, it was a delight to the eyes, the Japanese afternoon tea boasts an array of Japanese snacks such as Cold Soba Noodles with Quail Egg and Fish Roe, Mochi, Green Tea Daifuku as well as a delectable plattter of assorted Sushi and Salmon Sashimi. This also included Spicy Rice Cracker with Nori, Chestnut Steam Cake, Grass Mochi, Grape Jelly.

Simply Delicious and fresh :) Thumbs up.

Green tea Ice-cream to end the Tea Set

It was an enjoyable experience. If this promotion is still on, I wouldn't mind to try to English Tea Set.
