On 27 August 2011, Clarissa, Dylan and Pat finally caught up for lunch. Thanks Dylan for coordinating. We were supposed to meet a month ago, yet there were some last minute change of plans. We were initially supposed to meet at Wild Honey at Mandarin Gallery for lunch. Yet upon arrival there was a long queue. Dylan and Clarissa were deliberating whether to head for Chatterbox or Triple Three. In a way, I was glad they chose Triple Three as I was a frequent diner at Chatterbox.
For the price of $72 for buffet lunch, pity there were only three of us, as there was a 1-1 promotion. A bit pricey for buffet and given that we were there at 1pm, not much time given to really indulge in the food.
It was a cosy area. The dining space can be described as an expensive-looking cafeteria lounge. There were serveral live stations, which included sashimi, pasta, teppanyaki and tempura stations among other things.
Here's what we had for lunch :

For starters, I had the sashimi, prawns and mussels. I enjoyed the fresh selection of food. A seafood person and one who loves japanese food, I had 3 plates of sashimi. For buffet I usually select the food I love the eat and instead of going for a variety of food. I am not a person who really eat a lot to max the value of the food. Which explained why at the end of our lunch, both Dylan and Clarissa were very sleepy, they said they had overeaten. Yet I was still wide awake and energetic.
Skin of the Siew Mai was hard
Pat's main course - Tempura, chicken, potato and asparagus
A mixture of Seafood on Dylan's plate
Love the thick slices of Sashimi
Our plate of desserts to be shared - cakes, mousses, nonya kuehs
Sausages for Clarissa with the sauce and chicken pieces
Sashimi Time - Delicious
Dylan's plate of duck and tim sum - he forgot the sauce for the duck
Dylan had the entire plate to himself - Wow
HaoGao, Siew Mai
Pat's 6 sticks of satay - 2 pieces each of beef, mutton and chicken. Should have just ordered 6 stickes of chicken. The beef and mutton were tough.
