Pat, Michael, Marcus, Flo and Agung - Din Tai Fung on 16 August 2011
It started off with Mike posting on his the wall of his facebook the places he wanted to dine at before he leaves to US for studies. I took the initiative to coordinate the date and then once the rest of the Prefect Exco could make it - 16 August was the date. Roderick couldn't make it. And hence we met at Din Tai Feng for lunch, #B1-08/09/10 Raffles City Shopping Centre.

Our first dish -the chicken, we were expecting a bigger dish. They had wine sauce mixed with the chicken hence it was simply delicious. We left 2 pieces of chicken for Agung who was late. The rest of the food was finished within 10 minutes among the 4 of us.
We ordered 2 baskets of pork dumplings and I think this has to be michael's favourite. Yes, Mike dream of the Xiaolongbao when you are in the states. Each of us had an avearge of 4 pork dumplings. Have the dumplings when it is pipping hot and feel the juice as one savour on the them. We nearly wanted to order another basket. Yet we decided to try the other dishes.
I can recall how Marcus tried to have a smaller portion of noodles onto his bowl. Mike had to help him slice the long noodles into shorter pieces.
This is one of Pat's favourite dish when she dines at Din Tai Fung. Crispy yet savoury.
If one wasn't into dumplings, this is one dish that is filling and reasonably priced. Flo ordered this dish. Someone loves the fried rice here.
This was the first time I was having this dish. I was certainly fascinated by the unique presentation. Shaped like a vase, the pork dumpling is at the base while the shrimp is place above.
I still love the original pork dumplings. Don't all the dumplings look almost the same. It's the ingredients that's different.
Spicy noodles

The peanut sauce blends well with the noodles.
