Dolphins at Moreton Island

We attended a dolphin behaviour and data colletion presentation after our sand tobogganing adventure. Then it was time to take a leisurely stroll before it was time to hand feed the wild dolphins.

It was time to feed the dolphins at 730pm. Indeed our 2nd adventure of the night. We stood there in the sand, in pairs / families. When it was our turn, we washed our hands in the pail, then each of us took a small fish. Given the signal, we walked into the water at knee level. With the person in charge guiding us, we bent down and stretched out our hands and fed the dolphin. The waters was chilly and the wind was strong. Yet it was an amazing experience - night feeding the dolphins.

After dinner, we headed back to our rooms for a shower and to rest. Boy did we have a good night sleep.
