The menu
Decked in a bright red, Shang Palace really looks like a place of festive environment.
We ordered the Fu Ding Shou Mei Menu priced at $58++ per person
Four deluxe appetiser delights - shredded chicken, duck and meat
Shanghai braised shredded bean curd soup, assorted seafood
Drink when hot
Braised abalone, assorted seafood
Deep fried sea perch, crab roe
I love this dish. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Braised King's mushroom, dried scallop, spinach beancurd
Stewed ee fu noodle, egg white, crab meat
We weren't expecting ee fu noodle in this form. The egg white made it too soft for my liking. I must admit it was a little difficult eating this bowl of noodles.

Mum and me
After lunch, we took a walk down to orchard road where we shopped a little where we headed down to Suntec. There I took mum for Swensen. Did you know if your birthday fall on the actual day, one gets a free firehouse.

Happy Birthday Mum
I had a delightful Sunday afternoon with my mum. From mum's expression, she enjoyed herself. Now she knows her daughter really loves to explore to food and she sometimes asks me when is our next food outing. Isn't it great I spread my food adventures to my mum.
Santa if you are listening, can someone please plan a suprise birthday for me next year - to a place where I have not been before - that will be a nice birthday present for me for 2012. Can I just sit back and relax and enjoy. Any takers?
