Located at Great World City, Czzar is indeed a chinese restaurant with a spread of local dishes. On 13 February, Jenny, Peichin, Kok Choong and myself met up for lunch to celebrate chinese new year.
A spacious restaurant we opted to dine at the inner dinning section where it was more enclosed. Customers started to steam in past lunch time. Nice decorations - the red designs eemed to blend in with the festive cheer.
Our first dish was none other than Prosperity Yusheng priced at $22.80. For the 4 of us, the small dish seemed like a large dish of Yusheng. No wonder we still had a small plate of yusheng at the end of the meal.
Prosperity Yusheng
Fish maw & Crabmeat Soup
Next we had the fish maw and crabmeat soup priced at $12.80. Tasty and delicious. We ordered the medium serving and the bowl could serve up to 5 servings. KC had the remaining bowl of soup.
Scallop Asparagus with XO sauce
A healthy and delicous dish, the XO sauce brough out the flavour of the dish. Wished the portion could be more. Priced at $19.80, I wonder which was more expensive - the scallops or the asparagus?
Steam Crab with egg White
This was the first time I had steam crab with egg white. The egg white is so smooth and it melts in your mouth. The crab is simply delicious. Very meaty and fresh.
Yam paste, Strawberry Pudding, Avocado Pudding, Mango Pamelo
How can we forget dessert. I had the mango pamelo and it's thumbs up for me . Not someone who loves strawberry dessert, I didn't mind the strawberry Pudding. The avocado pudding was just a little blend for me. It didn't have the avocado flavour. Peichin had the yam paste and then she had to leave. She had another lunch appointment after this.
