On the 12th February 2011, my dance friends and I trotted down to Li Kui at Mosque street for our monthly dinner gathering. One could still feel the festive season along the streets of Chinatown. The restaurant too was packed with customers celebrating the festive season.
Teochew Yusheng
For a start we had the Teochew Yusheng, something different from the usual Yusheng that we have been eating. The difference is the fish and there are no crackers, this is just solely vegetables. Tossing for an abundance of joy, love, good health and happiness for the year of the rabbit.
Fish Maw Soup
The fish maw soup has to be one of the most delicious and tasty soup I have tasted so far. Rich ingredients and thick soup. A must try if you are at the restaurant.
Goose meat
The plate of marinated goose meat to be shared among the 4 girls seem a little too much. It could have been a smaller plate. The meat was tender. Yet we rose up to the challenge and finished up all the food.
Oysters with Egg
The Dishes we ordered for the evening
Yam paste with pumkin and gingko nuts
Joanna and Cara - after their 2 bowls of dessert.
Linda and Pat happy with the egg without the oysters
Dance Dinner Kakis at Li Kui for their February makan session.
