It is very difficult to enter the churches in Malta, unless there is a mass or baptism in the church. Most of the time when there is no service, the church doors are closed, hence we can only view the exterior of the church.
Our first church of the trip - our Lady of Mount Carmel at Balluta. Scenes taken before and after lunch. Exterior looks amazing.
At Balluta Bay, in St. Julians, there was a church dedicated
to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, since 1859. It was built by the Confraternity of Our Lady of Mount
Carmel of Valletta.
Trying to capture the picture postcard view
The church was rebuilt in 1877 and given to the
Carmelite friars who rebuilt it in 1900.
In 1958 it was rebuilt again and in 1974 it became the
parish church of the locality.
