La Sagrada Familia (Interior)

As we were facing the strong winds out in the open, we dashed into the basilica where there was much warmth. La Sagrada Familia is the iconic monument of Barcelona.

Even though the building is incomplete, we saw many people pictures posing for different pictures. We wanted to climb up to the towers. However due to the wind, that section was closed due to safety reasons.

 The Lord's Prayer
Upon stepping inside the basilica, I was drawn to the beautiful coloured stained-glass windows, each with different symbols. People were mesmerized by groups of clours on the stained galss. The effect of a forest canopy was felt through the shape and placement of windows. It gave me the feeling that I was able to see sunlight pouring through the branches of a thick forest. At the basement, there was an exhibition showing the creative works of Gaudi.
