Here we are in Lourdes during our France trip in 2013. Beautiful weather and such peace I felt in Lourdes.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is alleged to have appeared to Bernadette Soubirous on a total of eighteen occasions at Lourdes. Lourdes has become a major place of Roman Catholic pilgrimage and of miraculous healings.
Today Lourdes has a population of around 15,000, taking in some 5,000,000 pilgrims and tourists every season. With about 270 hotels, Lourdes has the second greatest number of hotels per square kilometre in France after Paris.
