On a Sunday evening in early October 2013, AG and I visited Indo Chine at Empress Place. Offering one of the finest views of the Singapore River, the restaurant presented an authentic Indochinese cuisine set amidst a grand backdrop of lotus flower-shaped Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers towering Sukothai Buddha statues, rare Shan antiques and custom-made stainless steel-and-leather Ming Dynasty-style chairs
