Assumption Cathedral (BKK)

 

We managed to visit Assumption Cathedral. Recalled two years ago, we were at the same location. However that time the church was under renovation. Here we are at the newly renovated church.

Assumption Cathedral is Bangkok's principal Roman Catholic cathedral and the main church of the Archdiocese of Bangkok, which dates back to 1662.

 

As the main church of the Catholic Archdiocese in Thailand, the cathedral had the honor to host the visit of the late Pope John Paul II in May 1984, a memorable occasion for the Catholic Church in Bangkok.
