National Gallery Singapore

On 3 December 2016,  here we are at the National Gallery Singapore. I attended a wedding in the morning before we caught a movie. I wanted to catch the light display at night of the gallery. Coincidentally there was also free admission to the various exhibitions.
 Artist and Empire Exhibition
The Gallery’s second international exhibition explores the different ways in which the British Empire has been represented and contested through art. It examines art produced for the British Empire from a contemporary perspective, and features viewpoints from Southeast Asia.
The exhibition also takes a close look at the relationship between colonial experience and the rise of modern art in former colonies such as Singapore, with a special focus on Sir Stamford Raffles.
Lights display - the highlight for Pat

We were also intrigued by the balloon sculpting of the animals. We will definitely be back to visit the National Gallery in 2017.
