St. Paul's Grotto is set beneath the beautiful St. Paul's Church in
Rabat.
St. Paul spent 3 months
in the grotto in Rabat that is now so famous that Pope Benedict visited St.
Paul's Grotto to pray during his visit to Malta in 2010 and so did Pope John
Paul II in 1990.

St.Paul’s Catacombs are a
typical complex of interconnected, underground Roman cemeteries that were in
use up to the 7th, and possibly the 8th centuries AD. They are located on the
outskirts of Mdina.
Inside the catacombs, one
can get a very good idea of the different tombs used at the time. When venturing
around this area you will see saddle-backed baldacchino tombs, window tombs,
troughless baldacchino tombs and small loculi.
