Lyanne & Pat
Housed within a majestic
white building along Scotts Road, INDOCAFÉ is a Peranakan-themed restaurant. Lyanne and I met for dinner on 23 January 2018. It was lovely catching up with her, exchanging our travel and work stories.
Dinner Time
Organic Ayam Buah Keluak, an all-time Peranakan
favourite that features braised organic chicken with black nut and exotic
spices. ( Nice)
SAYUR LODEH
Stewed mixed vegetables
in coconut gravy (Average)
NGOH HIANG
Crispy homemade
five-spiced pork meat roll wrapped in soy bean curd skin and deep fried (Must try)
Chendol Panna Cotta, which consists
of coconut pudding with chendol, atap chee, red bean and gula Melaka. ( Average - have tasted better dessert)
Overall the restaurant was quiet. Service was slow and the food was average. There are better peranakan restaurants around. Hence unless you are at Scotts road and craving for Peranakan food, you can try Indo Care.
