Dialogue Cafe (Malta)

 Late dinner at 9pm in Malta

 Here we are having our dinner after the procession. We adjourned to one of the cafes near the sea where we knew the procession would adjourn to. Time to rest those tired legs. For me, it was especially tiring cos I was also still having rashes from the previous trip.

Garden Festival 2018

 

Here we are at Singapore Garden Festival jointly organised by the National Parks Board (NParks) and Gardens by the Bay, from 21 July to 3 August 2018. We were there on the opening day, organized by NTU Alumnii. This is the seventh time the biennial event is organised.

 There was a spectacle of exquisite exhibits and new offerings, created by close to 30 internationally acclaimed garden and floral designers.

 Key highlights at this year’s Festival include the highly popular Landscape and Fantasy Show Gardens and the Floral Windows to the World displays.

 

Other highlights include the Orchid Extravaganza at Flower Dome, Balcony Gardens, ASEAN Garden, Secret Garden of Edibles, Landscape Design Challenge, Gardener’s Cup, and Learning Garden.

 Celebrating Ms Chew's Birthday

It is amazing  how the five of us stayed in touch since school days. Have to attribute to our birthday celebrations over the years. It's always a joy meeting up with the gals - so much to catch up and always in good company and great food.

We managed to celebrate Ms Chew birthday in July, the actual month of birthday, unlike last year so belated. The funny thing this year was Xiuling was so excited that she came a week earlier for the celebrations and she called me when I was in Malacca that weekend. She said usually Pat will be at the venue on time, strange not to see me around. Hilarious. 

 The spread of food we had - amazing how much we can eat.

Swensens (Ion)

 One of my all time dining places with mum has to be Swensens. As a kid, mum used to bring me to Swensens for ice-cream. Now, seems like roles are reversed. I spend time with her at Swensens for meals. Lots of fond memories at the Swensens especially when Swensens at Ion will be closed at the end of the year.
