HSBC cards give excellent 1-1 deals. Provided you can make reservations for such promotions. I chanced upon Oscars 1-1 semi buffet lunch and made a reservations on 6 March. The verdict : We enjoyed ourselves. Great presentation of food, excellent service, and food was delicious. Between the both of us, we tried all the dishes on the menu except the ice-cream and Beef Bulgogi.

Hi-Tea at Violet Onn Singapore

We had lunch at Violet Onn Singapore last year when we noticed there was a long queue for the hi-tea after 3pm. Was wondering what was the hype all about. Hence on our wedding anniversary we went for the  hi-tea at Violet Onn at Ion. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance.  

Home-made scones served with jam and clotted cream. 2 plain scones and 2 gula melaka scones.

The hi-tea comprises of scones, tea, savory and sweet food.

New Year's Lunch At Gabriels

We started 1 Janueary 2021 by hosting Edwin's family. Every year for Christmas, Edwin has graciously hosted us at his place with delicious food. They have not been to our place. Finally this year we managed to invite  them to our place with homecooked meal prepared by Anthony.

Robert wanted Pizza. It was raining heavily. I volunteered to collect the pizza at Bella. Was drenched.  I guess the greatest joy is seeing Robert enjoying and eating the pizza. We each managed to have a slice of the pizza too.

Spago

The month of January is always special for me as it is our wedding anniversary and also my birthday month. Here we are at Spago, 2nd January 2021,  located at Marina Bay Sands, the eve of our wedding anniversary. Pity it was a raining day, else it would be a perfect view to admire the landscape of Singapore.

Kaya Toast Foie Gras Terrine - comprising  Brioche, Kaya Jam, Confit Egg Yolk and Aged Soy Salted

Such a unique combination - who would have imagined spread the toast with kaya and salted egg yolk and add on Foie Gras.  Very interesting taste and I love it.
