Swensen

 I always enjoy my weekend. It's time with self, family and friends. On 31 March, I took mum out for lunch at Swensen at Centrepoint.

Simple things in life, time with family. Yet those truly matter to me.

Ma Maison/ TCC @ Central

On 9th April, a Tuesday evening after work, we headed to Ma Maison at Central for LiYin's farewell dinner. Sad to part with an extremely capable colleague and such great rapport working together, yet what can we say about being headhunted - we couldn't match the pay. We can only wish her all the best. This was my 7th farewell meal within 2 months.

Church Wedding of Vicki and Daniel

 

 On 6 April 2013,  I was there to witness the church wedding of Vicki and Daniel at church of the Holy Spirit. When Vicki first asked me to be the coordinator of both the wedding and the lunch, without hesitation, I said Yes. I met Vicki at Silent Retreat 2 years. She has been a dear friend. Both of us are able to share and pray for each other.

The sacrament of marriage is so special. The weding vows in particular say it all. In there, we give glory to God through the family. Yes the grass is always greener on the other side. Those who are married have their issues to face. Those who are single, are still searching for that person, prayig that God knows best and surrending to his will. Yet sometimes, it is God's timing not ours. There is always a time for everything. Sometimes, we have found the one, only to let him/ her go because God has other plans or it is not the right timing.

Hifumi

Hifumi, the new Japanese restaurant at the Plaza Singapura extension (#04-68), serves bento sets meals with all-you-can-eat appetizer bar! The travel kakis from Italy met up for dinner on 6 April 2013. It's been close to 2 years since Jenny met up with Joan.

 

There is the appetizers selection with more than 10 choices available during lunch and dinner time. Though value for money, I personally feel this is one can give a miss on the appetizers selection can give a miss. The selction includes potato salad, noodles, tofu gratin, vegetables, pumpkin salad  cheese fondue, rice cracker, and everybody’s favourite chawanmushi. One can also enjoy free flow of drink at $1.90.

Brotzeit

 After a long week at work, what a better way to end the week with a beer on a Friday nite. Rather it was great catching up with Bavaria travel kakis on 5 April at Brotzeit located at Vivocity.
