Merci Marcel

A brunch place at Tiong Bahru, Merci Marcel is indeed quite popular. We had to wait for at least  20minutes before we could get a seat. Here we are in the month of April celebrating Xiuling's birthday.

We read about this place on social media and we had to personally experience what was the hype all about. Well many people were taking pictures of the place which was located nowhere off the middle of the road in Khao Yai. Surrounded by trees and a unique surrounding, there were many young people taking pictures of the place, rather than eating.

We had the black honey toast which comes with Vanilla ice-cream and whipped cream. There was honey caramel syrup. Something unique.

Pak Chong Night Market (Khao Yai)

Here we are our first day at Khao Yai on 4 October 2019. We decided to end the day by taking a walk at Pak Chong Night Market at Khao Yai. We packed our dinner and had our meal in the hotel. At least we had the opportunity to experience the local delights in Khao Yai.

Plazza Palio (Khao Yai)

Palio is a picturesque shopping centre, 220km north-east of Bangkok, themed around a Tuscan village.

 Upon walking into the village, one feels that I have been transported to a part of Tuscany.  

 There were several shops and stalls.

There were many interesting stuff to feast our eyes on or just to admire the sculptures.

 . We even found a Jim Thompson shop in there, much to our delight.

Earl Swensens

 I have many fond memories of dining at Earl Swensens, especially when it comes to celebrating birthdays of my loved ones. So we ended the day for the birthday boy at Earl Swensens. Being a cool rewards member, Anthony had a complimentary slice of birthday cake and sundae. As we were still full from our hi-tea, we shared a hotdog.

Here we are at Shangri-La Hotel for afternoon hi-tea on weekday in March 2019.
