Here we are back at our hotel on our first day of Bangkok, after our shopping and spa. It was relaxing being at the rooftop level of the hotel, soaking in the night scene. Lovely atmosphere to chill out on a Friday night.

Moomin Cafe Bangkok

Bangkok is home to several cafes themed after cute characters. Moomin Café Bangkok is the latest addition. This definitely has to be one of the highlights of our recent BKK trip on 19 May 2017. The eatery definitely stole our hearts away with the cute atmosphere. The cafe is styled after the whimsical world of the Moomins, a famous and beloved cartoon family by Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson.

Regardless of where you sit, you can pick up big Moomin dolls to play with and use as photo props at your table.

From 10am-2pm, you can order only savoury dishes and baked items. Warm desserts like crepes and pancakes are available from 2-5pm and from 5-9pm, you can order anything. There is also a soft rule that every guest must order at least one drink and one sweet or savoury item while visiting the cafe. We went there in the afternoon after our lunch. We didn't know about the "rules".

White Flower Factory (BKK)

Upon arrival to Bangkok on 19 May, we checked into our hotel. It was raining. Thankfully the rain stopped after an hour.  We ventured out for our travel adventures for the day.

Situated on the 4th floor of Siam Square One, White Flower Factory was the place we had our lunch. The restaurant has clean and modern deco with wooden tables adorned vases of white flowers, serving both western and thai food.

Barrio

If you are looking for mexican food, why not head down to Barrio. The outlet serves Mexico's famous street snacks such as char grilled street corn, stuffed jalapenos, and a broad array of tacos and wholesome burritos, healthy salads and desserts. We were at the outlet located at Vivo City.
