AfternoonTea @ TCC- Peranakan

Pat, Janice & Xiuling
Tea Time @ TCC on Sunday Afternoon

What a better way of spending a Sunday afternoon on 26th February 2012, catching up with friends at TCC for tea at Peranakan Place at Orchard Place. A cosy environment with delicious food and friendly service.
Pat with her icy red bean drink
Azuki Freeze ( $7.60)
Iced Kaffello Latte ($7.90)
A blend of jelly and coffee, this is certainly a must-try if you are a coffee-lover.
Berry Bed of Roses ($7.30)
A refreshing drink with a scent of rose
Prawn Cheese-a-Toast ( $10.50)
Great presentation. Toasted to perfection, this dish was delicious with a mixture of prawn and cheese spread. Picture having this combination for breakfast toast with a cup of coffee :)
Shrooms Bites ($10.80)
One of my personal favourites from TCC - this dish is like a mini mushroom pie. Finger-licking dish that one wished there were more on the plate.

Swensen - Lunch Time Promotions

Salmon Mushroom Pasta ( $14.90)

I was out for a client's meeting in the morning last Friday on 24 February. My mum happened to be in town too. Hence I met her for lunch at Swensen located at Centrepoint #02-52/53/54.

There was a lunch promotion - for every main course ordered, one could have a complimentary appetizer , ice cream or drink. Both of us had the ice-cream. Being a Friday, and the season of lent, we opted for non-meat meals.

I ordered the salmon mushroom pasta. This was the first time I had this dish. Tasty and delicious.
Malted Chocolate Milk Shake
All for the price of $1 for Swensen Cool reward card for the drink. In case you are wondering, did I drink up the entire glass of malted milk shake, well I only had half the glass of the milk shake. I was full with my pasta dish. I shared the drink with my mum.
Presto Salmon Saute ($15.90)
Breaking away from her usual breaded chicken dish at Swensen, this was the first time mum tasted this dish upon my recommendation. The expression on her face - priceless. She enjoyed the dish. Nice presentation and healthy choice too, with mash potato and corn.
Our Lunch on a Friday Afternoon
Ice Cream Time - Frosted Chocolate and Sticky Chewy Chocolate

It was a delightful lunch and quality time spent with mum. There are certainly more food places I will be bringing mum this year.

Cream Bistro

Cream Bistro is located at a quiet corner of Pacific Plaza, tugged away from the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road. It serves fusion food ranging from western favourites like pasta, pizza, fish & chip to Thai and Japanese food.

A good place to chill out and indeed it is a relaxing environment. I met Diana for dinner on Monday evening, 27 February, after my course in the day. We were surprised with their 4 course set meal promotion ranging from $10.90. This included soup, main course, a drink and a dessert. Value for money indeed.

Soup & Garlic Bread
Ice Lemon tea and coffee
Pat's Japanese set meal - Pork Cutlet, salad and rice
A tasty dish and a slant of fushion

Botanic Gardens

On 19th February 2012, after our korean lunch on a Sunday, we headed to botanic gardens. A beautiful time with nature, strolling in the gardens and admiring the beauty in silence. Here are some of the shots that were taken.

Behind the Scenes @ Movie World

Pat & Gina with the stunt drivers
One of the amazing things about travelling is that I have the opportunity to experience different things and be in the moment of that travel place. One of the scenes I will take away from Movie World has to be the behind the scene tour. Our tour group had the access to witness the rehearsal of the thrilling car stunts. The photographer was busy taking photos and totally immersed in the scene.
